How Yukon Keeps You Connected
Connected to what, you ask?
YUKON, connects your outside workforce with your management and human resources at HOME BASE!
Some issues discussed with our YUKON clients.
ISSUE 1
Dispatching work, our dispatchers need to know the area very well before they become good at sorting and dispatching work to outside workers.
YUKON! Sorts work by area closest to furthest and soon the outside workers and the work orders will appear on the screen overlaid on a map, letting a dispatcher with little or no knowledge of the area efficiently dispatch work. Soon the process will be as easy as opening a map and dragging the work orders onto the nearest employee tap twice and the dispatch has been sent to the workers Blackberry.
ISSUE 2
I need to spend hours on the phone explaining each call to each employee, the worst thing is calling getting no answer and the employee calling back sometimes hours later when I have moved on to other work.
YUKON! Sends the work to the employee's phone, the work is received as text in a clear manner sorted by closest to furthest. Every detail is included, special instructions, warnings, safety issues and even special tools required are included. The nice thing also is that you receive an acknowledgment message that he opened the work and read it.
ISSUE 3
I never know where the outside workers are!
YUKON! keeps track of the time and location when the employee clocks in or out and starts or ends a job, you can even set the proximity that you will allow the employee to start a job. The system will not allow an employee to start the next job while at lunch, he can only start or end the job from the job location. In job tracking mode the time spent at the job is verified. A great help when job costing or extra billing for additional time on site is needed.
ISSUE 4
How can I get customer authorization.
YUKON! Has an area designated as authorization required and a box that contains a code number that authorizes the work. Essential for verifying or confirming the employee or the work.
ISSUE 5
I need a simple system.
YUKON! Has two work types, "site attendance or job tracking" the simple site attendance sends the works "clock in" time along with the location at the start of the day and a simple "clock out" that includes the location when the employee is done. If more is needed? The worker can send current position at any time or as often as you may be require.
ISSUE 6
I send employees in to out dangerous or risky sites, how can I make sure the employee is OK without sending a second truck.
YUKON! Has two features unique to our system. The system has an SOS button, which the employee can activate manually. There is also an automatic SOS that can be set before entering a hazardous area; it will activate an SOS alarm automatically, if the employee is unable to stop the auto timer.
Both SOS alarms sound at the monitoring dispatch terminal and can only be disabled when the dispatcher acknowledges that he has received the alarm. During off hours a text message can be sent to fellow worker or supervisor that will include the time and the location of the employee. A simple voice call can also be sent. The text message & voice call are set on the phone by the employee in the Yukon software.
ISSUE 7
Phone messages often are miss read or the information isn't accurate, plus there aren't any records of the call ever being made.
YUKON! Sends messages to the employee via Text / Voice / or Video, all messages are stored on the server for future reference. The employee can return massage in the same ways, great to be able to include video if clarification is needed regarding a tricky installation. Voice was added for the employees that aren't conformable typing on a phone although younger employees will easily work with this technology. Additional cost is involved when sending voice or video. |
